OK, so day three. Everyone around me who’s had COVID-19 has told me, “Don’t worry, you’ll be feeling SO much better by day three.”
So, here I am, and I’m still waiting. I haven’t slept in two days, I have no energy, and last night I had some of the worst chills I can remember EVER experiencing. My sinuses feel like someone stuffed a golf ball in them. I can’t stop coughing, sweating, or blowing my nose. But other than that, it was a GREAT weekend.
Happy Monday, eh?
The good news is that I watched a LOT of soccer. I mean, to the point where I’m almost sick of it.
It looks as if today will mean more soccer, so things aren’t THAT bad. Also, Erin and Magnus are at the Oregon Coast, so at least I don’t have to worry about trying to paste on a happy face- ‘cuz I don’t have the energy or the capacity for that.
I’m going to lay low today, drink lots of fluids, and try not to feel too sorry for myself. This episode could certainly be far worse; at least it happened post-virus and not pre-virus. I hate to think of what this might have meant for me before vaccines were available.
I hope this makes sense, but if not, blame it on the virus.
So be safe, love one another, and with any luck, I’ll be back tomorrow with more of the usual unfiltered silliness. Mazel tov, y’all….
