I can only speak for myself, but I can think of few bipeds lacking in native intelligence more than neo-Nazis, those brave, balls-to-the-walls defenders of all things White and White-adjacent. I’m sorry, but most of these folks barely have high-school diplomas, never mind a high-school ability to express themselves.

Given the average Nazi’s inability to understand high-level reasoning, I’ll spell it out as simply as I possibly can. You can’t threaten people with mayhem and bodily harm for doing things you find offensive to your tender sensibilities. That’s not a right guaranteed you by the 1st Amendment.

Yeah, the world isn’t designed or intended to bend to your will like that, knowhutimean??

Okay Florida, we take back what we thought about you 10 minutes ago…. You’re not all awful. There may even be hope for some of you.

Meet Mike Chitwood, Sheriff of Volusia County, northeast of Orlando. We have written about Chitwood before, most recently this past April when antisemites kept getting arrested for publicly threatening to kill him. Guys, pro tip: The best place to threaten officers of the law these days is in congressional hearings, and even then you generally need to be an elected member of Congress. Posting on 4chan just gives them a reason to arrest you.

Chitwood had been doing very profane battle with the Goyim Defense League, a white supremacist group that was busy blanketing Volusia County with all manner of antisemitic flyers and signs and electronic projections of the words “Hitler was right,” and of course they don’t mean “about building the engineering marvel that is the Autobahn.”

The sheriff made it known in language so clear that even a Nazi could understand it that the GDL is unwelcome in Volusia, which helped lead to the death threats and the arrests.

Because there are good and decent people like Sheriff Chitwood in this world, Nazis are forced to live according to the rule of law, as inconvenient as they might find that to be. Nazis don’t get to MAKE the rules, but they do have to LIVE by the rules.

Whatever the Goyim Defense League (GDL) thinks they have going for them, being decent human beings certainly isn’t on the list. When they compound that by engaging in death threats directed at law enforcement…yeah, that’ll never end well. ‘Course, most Nazis lack the mental agility to figure that out.

They believe that what they don’t currently have can be achieved through threats and intimidation. What they fail to understand is that most Americans aren’t scared of them, and, if anything we find them rather laughable. Their lack of self-awareness as poster children for the Dunning-Kruger Effect is quite amusing.

Bless their hearts….

So four members of the GDL sent the sheriff nasty letters formatted to look like official legal complaints but that have about as much force of law as a package of stale Chuckles. Specifically, they wanted Chitwood to remove tweets promoting his T-shirts reading “Scumbag Eradication Team” and accompanied by an illustration of the sheriff flushing a Nazi down a toilet.

Also they wanted him to apologize publicly, take down the tweets in which he called them “scumbags,” and pay them $100,000 worth of gold, presumably to make up for all the fillings they haven’t been able to pull since 1945.

Our intrepid heroes in the GDL don’t realize that while the 1st Amendment allows them to speak their minds and voice their opinions (such as they are), those rights end when they engage in threats and harassment. And they also seem to forget that Sheriff Chitwood also has some 1st Amendment rights.

Never mind that the Sheriff’s IQ is significantly higher than anyone in the GDL…not that it’s a particularly lofty bar.

And I must admit that Sheriff Chitwood’s “Scumbag Eradication Team” IS pretty funny…even though Nazis are renowned for lacking anything faintly redolent of a sense of humor.

And what if referring to the GDL as “cowards and scumbags” is the truth? And doesn’t David Kim undermine his argument with the oh-so-cute “GFY?” Yeah, way to underline your argument there, son.

Frankly, these chuckleheads are in no position to demand anything of the Sheriff, given what they’ve been up to. They can file lawsuits from here until Labor Day if they choose, and all they’ll do is embarrass themselves.

These idjits are the “Master Race?” Man, are we f****d or what?? If these airheads are the ones who are the rightful heirs to the world, well….

Suppose you firmly believe your Whiteness makes you infinitely superior to other races. In that case, you’re a world-class dumbass who’s in NO WAY superior to anyone or anything.

White skin is indicative only of the fact that your parents were White. It says nothing about how intelligent, gifted, and/or capable you are. It’s not an indication of your inherent moral or intellectual superiority. Nor is it proof of your worthiness to sit atop the human food chain. You’re White because of an accident of birth. Call it good fortune or being a member of the Lucky Sperm Club. Call it what you wish, but fortune didn’t shine on you because it decided you’re a superior specimen of the Master Race.

(Yay, rational discourse and reasonable ideas from reasonable people!! Or not.)

And these chuckleheads are definitely not the cream of the Master Race.

If Sheriff Chitwood is all in on calling these creeps “scumbag losers,” sign me up because I’m with him 100%. Those “scumbag losers” can’t even spell their threats to sue the Sheriff properly, so why should take them seriously?

The good news, such as it is, is that these Nazi wannabes are barely a threat to themselves, much less anyone else. They take themselves very seriously…even if no one else does. And no, Sheriff Chitwood isn’t about to “apologize publicly, take down the tweets in which he called them “scumbags,” and pay them $100,000 worth of gold.” He’s within his 1st Amendment rights and has every right to refer to them as “scumbag losers”- because they’re every bit of that. And if they even for a nanosecond believe that the Sheriff or anyone else is going to pay them $100,000, they need to stop smoking whatever they’re on.

Mama must be fairly beaming with pride, eh?
