Did You Know That Joe Biden Actively Discriminates Against White Heterosexual Men?

Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-WI) will never be nominated for a Nobel Prize. The man is an intellectual and moral train wreck looking for a place to happen. Then again, he’s a Republican from a Wisconsin district that would send a moldering corpse to Congress as long as it was White and had an “R” behind its name on the ballot.
Of course, some might argue that Grothman has the mental agility and bandwidth of said corpse…and they probably wouldn’t be far wrong. It’s easy to wonder how he manages to tie his shoes each morning.
Rep. Glenn Grothman has occasionally generated headlines for unfortunate reasons. The Wisconsin Republican argued a couple of years ago, for example, that the District of Columbia doesn’t deserve statehood because it doesn’t have any local mining. Several years earlier, Grothman explained his opposition to equal-pay legislation by saying, “You could argue that money is more important for men.”
Around the same time, he reportedly criticized sex-ed classes because, as Grothman put it, some gay teachers “would like it if more kids became homosexuals.”
And what evidence would Grothman base such a stupid, mean-spirited statement on? Perhaps his boundless ignorance and homophobia? His vast life experience? His tolerance of, and love for, the LGBTQ community?
As if those questions even require an answer.
Grothman is the prototypical White Conservative Christian heterosexual. He probably slept through high school and four years of college and still landed a decent job despite having few socially-redeeming qualities. Unless one considers being an ignoramus, misogynist, homophobe, and a jackass to be somehow redeemable.
The Republican nevertheless keeps running for re-election, even after he broke his term-limits pledge, and folks in Wisconsin’s 6th congressional district keep sending him back to Capitol Hill. In fact, in the 2022 midterm elections cycle, he won 95% of the vote — because literally no local Democrat was willing to run against him.
With this in mind, Grothman apparently feels comfortable speaking his mind, even when he has ideas he probably ought to think twice before sharing. Consider the Republican’s comments yesterday about President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees.
“Apparently, his first two years, President Biden had appointed 97 federal judges. Of the 97 federal judges, I was expecting maybe 25 or 30 were white guys — because I know President Biden wasn’t heavy on appointing more white guys. Five of the 97 judges were white guys. Of those, two were gay. So [it’s] almost impossible for a white guy who’s not gay apparently to get appointed here.”
I know, right? It’s SO hard to be a White Conservative Christian heterosexual these days. (Unsurprisingly, he won’t say if he’s vaccinated. So, you know he’s not.)
He’s also held forth on how he doesn’t believe that Black Lives Matters likes “the old-fashioned family,” whatever that might mean. As might be imagined, that comment wasn’t particularly well received by those who aren’t White Conservatives.
Grothman’s background is pretty white bread, which isn’t surprising for someone from Wisconsin. He grew up in a small town much like my own in Minnesota, where everyone is White, Conservative, Christian, and heterosexual…at least so far as we knew.
Grothman graduated from Homestead High School in Mequon in 1973. In 1978, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a BBA degree. He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1983, was admitted to the bar, and became an attorney with a firm in West Bend, Wisconsin.
Frankly, I’m shocked that Grothman made it through law school and passed the bar exam. That generally takes a reasonable amount of intellectual capital, something Grothman has never been accused of.
He never got the memo that the world doesn’t look like Mequon, WI. Judging by his comments, he seems not to understand that the world outside beautiful downtown Mequon is a varied and diverse place, something Grothman seems astonishingly triggered by.
To his way of thinking, America is and by rights should remain the property and playground of White Conservative Christian heterosexual males- all others need not apply.
Just in case anyone thought Grothman might’ve been kidding, it’s clear from the clip that he was not. The GOP lawmaker — who, as a House member, doesn’t even vote on judicial nominees — apparently just isn’t happy about the White House and Senate Democrats adding greater diversity to the federal bench.
If his whining seemed at all familiar, the same Republican expressed concern in March that by diversifying the courts, Biden might be “actively discriminating against white heterosexual men.”
Yeah, that’s precisely what’s happening because we have it SO hard these days. And before you begin cleaning up the coffee you just snorted all over your laptop’s keyboard, you should know that Grothman isn’t joking. He’s dead serious.
The man possesses all the intellectual agility of a motorcycle helmet. Grothman doesn’t understand that White Conservative Christian heterosexual males are currently overrepresented on the federal bench by a country mile. In the dark, cobwebby crypt that passes for his brainpan, he continues to believe that White Conservative Christian heterosexuals are a persecuted majority.
For what it’s worth, a Washington Post analysis noted today that white people “make up a higher percentage of the judiciary than the population.” Related data shows that white men currently hold 46% of the seats on the federal bench — and in case this isn’t obvious, white men do not constitute 46% of the U.S. population.
Just last week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer delivered floor remarks in which the New York Democrat boasted, “I am proud of the historic progress this Senate majority has made in advancing and confirming highly qualified, diverse judicial nominees to lifetime appointments to the bench — and you can be sure we are going to keep going.”
Evidently, that wasn’t the news a certain Wisconsin Republican wanted to hear.
This is in stark opposition to The Former Guy, who spent his time in office appointing young, unqualified White Conservative Christian heterosexual zealots to the federal bench. There they would be buried deep in the federal judiciary, cozy and secure in their lifetime sinecures and able to ensure the impact of Trumpism for years to come.
Glenn Grothman had no complaints about that, I’m guessing. Of course, he wouldn’t- because Trumpism is all about catering to the whims and interests of White Conservative Christian heterosexuals.
He didn’t complain- because, to Grothman’s way of thinking, one can never have too many White Conservative Christian heterosexual males in positions of authority, can one? But, of course, now it’s “virtually impossible” for straight White men to be nominated for jobs on the federal bench…at least as Grothman sees it.
Because Joe Biden’s going to ruin everything.
Glenn Grothman is a troglodyte who considers affordable housing “even more dangerous” than food stamps. And we all know how dangerous it can be to show kindness and compassion to those down on their luck, don’t we? Sure, you extend a hand to one person, and soon you must do the same for everyone. It’s how you breed dependence, don’tchaknow?
Because in the world Glenn Grothman lives in, no good deed goes unpunished…so you’re better off being an asshole to everyone. At least you can be consistent- and if there’s one thing Grothman knows well, it’s being an asshole to those unfortunate enough not to be White Conservative Christian heterosexuals.
