"First they came for Trump Tower, and I didn’t speak out— because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t catch my breath"
Karma's a real bitch

)There’s a time and place to feel appropriately sorry for those down on their luck…and, as I’m here to tell you, THIS IS NOT THAT TIME!!
No, sir…this is the time for good and decent Americans to be rolling around in ice-cold tubs of Schadenfreude, followed by a long moment in front of their televisions watching karma being visited upon their favorite orange-huge liar and thug.
Yes, Donald Trump’s lawyers have admitted that despite approaching 30 surety bond companies through four different brokers, raising the nearly half-billion dollar bond to secure Trump’s appeal is a “practical impossibility.”
What? No one wanted to lend Trump a half-billion dollars that he’ll likely never repay? Go figure.
Oh, the injustice of it all….
The law applies to everyone, and sometimes it sucks, but there you have it. And Donald J. Trump thinks that the law shouldn’t apply to him because…well, because he’s Donald J. Trump, and he’s never done anything wrong in his life, and he’s tired of being persecuted by partisan hacks.
WITCH HUNT!! ERECTION ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!
I don’t know if Trump thinks that if he doesn’t shut up about it, someone will become sufficiently tired of his yammering. Then, they’ll inevitably give in and say, “OK, YOU GET A BOND! AND YOU GET A BOND!! AND YOU GET A BOND!!” And all of his problems will magically be solved.
Sadly, New York State’s legal system doesn’t work that way. Trump won’t be able to whine, moan, or bitch his way into the state complying with his belief that he’s “special.”
Former President Donald Trump is seeking comfort on social media after he was ordered to pay $464 million to meet bond on the appeal of his civil fraud conviction.
“If I weren’t running for President, and leading by a lot, none of this LEGAL LAWFARE would be happening,” Trump posted on his social media website, Truth Social, Tuesday morning. “ELECTION INTERFERENCE! MAGA!!!”
Last month, New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to pay more than $350 million plus interest in damages for engaging in decades of fraudulent business practices under the Trump Organization.
Trump has appealed the decision; to stop his assets from being seized, he must post a bond totaling the full amount owed.
Despite “countless hours negotiating with one of the largest insurance companies in the world … obtaining an appeal bond in the full amount … is not possible under the circumstances presented,” a Monday court filing from Trump’s legal team said.
On Tuesday morning, Trump posted nearly a dozen times on Truth Social to vent about his impending financial humiliation.
That happens when you spend your career defrauding tax authorities, banks, insurance companies, and pretty much anyone with a pulse to squeeze as much money as possible out of your over- (or under-) valued assets.
Mark Levin’s tweet is comical, expecting billionaires to rush to Trump’s rescue. What Levin fails to grasp is that one doesn’t become a billionaire by being stupid, and loaning Trump close to a half-billion dollars would verge on financial suicide. What sane, rational business person with that kind of liquidity would lend a half-billion dollars to a lying sociopath like Donald Trump?
No, Trump is at the point in his criminal career when the bills are coming due. Karma is catching up with him, and he’s not liking it, not one little bit, to which I would offer only one response:
Tough shit. There are many sitting on the sideline who are cheering his impending, well-deserved demise.
You broke it. You bought it, tough guy. Donald J. Trump has spent his career fucking people, metaphorically speaking. Whether it was individuals, mortgage companies, insurance companies, banks, you name it, Trump has left a trail of damage in his wake. Now karma has come calling for him, and he can’t stop bitching and moaning.
And I, for one, am here for the show. Where’s my fucking popcorn??
“Engoron wants me to put up the ridiculous fine (I DID NOTHING WRONG!) before I get a chance to Appeal his crazed ruling - A first!” he wrote.
If he’s unable to come up with the money, the former president could put up his own assets as collateral. Should he lose the appeal, he would be required to pay the full judgment by March 25 or risk having his assets seized.
“Nobody has ever heard of anything like this before,” Trump said about the bond. “I would be forced to mortgage or sell Great Assets, perhaps at Fire Sale prices, and if and when I win the Appeal, they would be gone. Does that make sense? WITCH HUNT. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”
As part of Engoron’s ruling, Trump was also barred from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for three years. His sons, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., were also barred from serving as executives for New York companies for two years.
“Their complete lack of contrition and remorse borders on pathological,” the ruling said. “They are accused only of inflating asset values to make more money. The documents prove this over and over again.”
“Contrition?” I doubt that word even exists in the Trump family vocabulary. No, the patriarch, as well as the minions, excel at portraying themselves as victims, despite the fact they’ve spent their careers fucking people over on their way to amassing their fortunes.
Despite the evidence against him, Trump pére still screams into the void. (Please hold…your scream is very important to us. One of our disinterested representatives will be with you presently. Or perhaps not.)
Trump appeared to continue inflating the price of one of his assets in a Truth Social post.
“The only FRAUD in the Peekaboo James case, our failed and disgusting New York State Attorney General, was her convincing ‘Judge’ Arthur Engoron to put a value on Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Florida, of just $18,000,000, when it is worth 50 to 100 times that amount,” he wrote.
With just six days left to come up with the money, Trump, who once claimed to be worth more than $10 billion, has gone into overdrive, victimizing himself.
“I shouldn’t have to put up any money, being forced by Corrupt Judge and AG, until the end of the appeal,” he posted Tuesday on Truth Social. “That’s the way the system works!”
Uh…no, that’s NOT the way the system works. But pride and arrogance goeth before a fall…or something like that, yeah? And Donald Trump is little than pride, arrogance, and hot air- a whiny, blustery meat sack full of sound and fury but signifying nothing.
Perhaps I shouldn’t be enjoying this so much, but I am. Profoundly so.
Is there such a thing as TOO much Schadenfreude? Or does it keep improving, like a never-ending bowl of maple-bacon ice cream that never makes you sick?
Asking for a friend, don’tchaknow??
