There’s so much to dislike about Floriduh Gov. Ron DeSantis, yet the more I learn about him, the more my disdain grows. Those of y’all who’ve hung around here for a while are familiar with my profound distaste for Gov. DeSantis and his arrogance and predilection for creeping fascism. This is not a new facet of his personality; it’s a feature, not a bug.

To call the Governor an asshole hardly seems an exaggeration. But, as he’s rapidly turning the Sunshine State into his personal fiefdom, he’s also heavily invested in stripping freedoms from those who aren’t invested in his success. He wants to curtail press freedoms, he’s already curtailed educational liberties, and it may not be long before freedom of speech and assembly go out the window.
