Holier-than-thou hypocrites and Republicans
Jesus just loves Lauren Boebert and Kristin Noem more than you, I guess....
Arrogance is false confidence. It is born from insecurity. Haider pretends to be unafraid. He pretends to be crueler than he is. He lies easily. That makes him unpredictable and, in some ways, a more dangerous opponent. But the majority of the time his actions are inspired by fear. And that makes him weak.
Tahereh Mafi, Restore Me
I don’t expect much from Holier-Than-Thou Republicans. Most of them have demonstrated their hypocrisy time and again over the years. They preach their Christian morals, pray publicly, and demand that our government live by strict principles of Christian morality. Then it turns out that behind the scenes, they’ve been having extramarital affairs, banging interns, having same-sex relationships, etc., ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
Legion are the names of Republicans who’ve betrayed their public Conservative Christian morality with their private and hypocritical sins over the years. Invariably, they claim to have been led astray when their hypocrisy is exposed. They humbly and often tearfully beg forgiveness but never seem to understand how the public views their hypocrisy. They don’t seem to grasp the reality that much of the electorate now views them with suspicion and disdain.
They become the butt of jokes because the reality of their behavior, compared to their rhetoric, reveals them to be little more than holier-than-thou-hypocrites. Seldom was that more evident than this past week when Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) was kicked out of a Denver theater for behavior that would’ve embarrassed a high school student.
And then there was South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R), a holier-than-thou “family values” Republican who’s been having an affair with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for years. And before you ask, yes, Lewandowski is also married.
First, Lauren Boebert, who- and no one should be surprised or take offense at this- is the personification of “trailer trash.” Uneducated, uncouth, and unaware of her considerable shortcomings, Rep. Boebert has a very high opinion of herself and is a poster girl for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. Too bad she doesn’t play well with others.
During a performance of “Beetlejuice” in Denver, she vaped, waved her arms and sang loudly, fondled her date’s crotch, and allowed her date to play with her breasts. All of this behavior would’ve been perfectly acceptable had they been at home on a couch watching television. Alas, they were in a theater with a couple thousand other people looking to enjoy a night out.
The Congresswoman, whom you might think because of her position might understand the importance of behaving appropriately, acted like a spoiled 12-year-old girl not used to having limits placed on her.
This is the most Lauren Boebert story ever.
Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert from Badger Cum, Colorado, was taking in a performance of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, touring cast, in Denver. And then she wasn’t taking in a performance of the Broadway musical Beetlejuice, touring cast, in Denver. Because she acted like such classless garbage.
She was “causing a disturbance,” the headline at the Denver Post says about this member of Congress. Her campaign manager says she was just “enthusiastically” enjoying the show. We all know that type.
U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was escorted out of a Sunday night performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical in downtown Denver, accused by venue officials of vaping, singing, recording and “causing a disturbance” during the performance.
VAPING.
The woman was VAPING.
This should be filed under “How stupid do you have to be…?”
Anyone over ten knows there’s virtually nowhere in America where smoking of ANY sort is allowed indoors. You’d think a Congresswoman would have a basic working knowledge of the law, but this is Lauren Boebert we’re talking about, who has the IQ and the social conscience of a blind ferret.
The paper says they got warned during intermission that others around them were complaining (LMAO), so clearly it was time to shape up and sit nicely with our hands folded in front of us, even though it is a fun show like Beetlejuice. We can go to Chuck E. Cheese afterward, OK?
The incident report states that after receiving the intermission warning, about five minutes into the second act security officials received “another complaint about the patrons being loud and at the time (they) were recording.” Taking pictures or recording is not permitted at shows.
Tacky.
The worst part of this sorry episode is that if Rep. Boebert had owned up to her role and apologized, it probably would’ve quickly gone away. Instead, she and her campaign lied their asses off, and their dishonesty was easily and promptly shot down.
Reporters are good at that sort of thing. It’s what they do…but Lauren Bobert’s too stupid to understand it.
The US congresswoman Lauren Boebert has issued an apology after being kicked out of a performance of the musical Beetlejuice in Denver for inappropriate behavior, an experience she has called “difficult and humbling”.
Boebert, a Republican representative for Colorado, and a male guest accompanying her were ejected from the musical on 10 September for vaping, recording video and disturbing other patrons during the Sunday performance. Video also showed them eagerly groping each other while in their seats.
Boebert and her campaign manager initially denied that she was vaping and said she was removed for being too loud. But surveillance video obtained by the Denver television station 9News show the congresswoman openly vaping during the performance.
Two sources also confirmed to 9News that Boebert was vaping, a prohibited action that ushers attempted to address with her several times.
A pregnant woman reportedly confronted Boebert and asked the congresswoman to stop vaping, the New York Post reported. But Boebert refused.
“These people in front of us were outrageous,” the unnamed woman said to the Post. “I’ve never seen anyone act like that before.”
The CCTV video also shows Boebert’s guest fondling her breasts after they had taken their seats for the musical performance. Boebert is also seen petting her guest’s crotch in the venue whose patrons often include children and their families.
Boebert and her date were later removed by security in the second act of the musical as their disruptive behavior continued.
Such a class act, no?
Here’s a compilation of security footage:
And another video that proves she lied initially about what led to her ejection from the theater:
In a statement released by her office, it seems pretty clear she still doesn’t grasp the damage she’s done and how much she’s embarrassed herself. This won’t help her re-election campaign, which may pose a greater challenge than 2022, which she won by only 600 votes.
And her arrogance and dishonesty don’t really underscore her “Christian values,” do they?
Boebert apologized for her behavior in a Friday evening statement.
“The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I’m truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver has brought to the community,” Boebert said in the apology, as reported by the Colorado Sun.
Boebert added that her “public and difficult divorce” has created a “challenging personal time for me and my entire family”.
“I’ve tried to handle it with strength and grace as best I can, but I simply fell short of my values on Sunday,” Boebert said.
Boebert filed for divorce from her husband, Jayson, in May. The couple had been married for nearly 20 years.
Boebert’s disturbance at the musical was first confirmed on Tuesday, though the congresswoman initially attempted to suggest she was removed from the theater for enjoying the performance too much.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Boebert wrote that she “[pleaded] guilty to laughing and singing too loud!”
And then there’s South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R), the Far-Right’s queen of “family values.” Or so we thought until, as was just confirmed last week, news broke that she’s been having a years-long extramarital affair with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who, yes, is also married.
In most circumstances, I couldn’t care less if Noem and Lewandowski were buggering the tailpipe of a Maybach. It’s a proven fact that people often schtup people other than their spouses, and it’s not my place to judge.
However, if you’ve built your political career on being a straighter-than-straight, family-values, holier-than-thou Republican, and it turns out you’ve been having an extramarital affair FOR YEARS….
That makes you a very special kind of hypocrite, eh?
If that’s the case, you’d best be prepared for a shit-storm of epic proportions to rain down upon you- if for no other reason than you’re a f*****g hypocrite. Everything you’ve said over the years has been proven to be a lie because you’ve been living a lie. As an old drill sergeant used to tell me, it only takes one fuck-up to erase 20 “attaboys.”
In the case of Kristi Noem, I think that math holds up.
I’d say something about the sanctity of marriage here, but that’s Gov. Noem’s bailiwick, and something tells me that she’s a bit out of her depth in that department.
A rising Republican star tipped by many to be Donald Trump's running mate should he win the presidential nomination has been involved in a clandestine affair for years, multiple sources tell DailyMail.com.
Married South Dakota governor Kristi Noem, 51 – who stresses her belief in 'family values' – and Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski, who is also married, began carrying on in 2019, if not before.
Now news of the relationship threatens to wreck Noem's chances of joining Trump's ticket in a potential rematch with President Joe Biden.
Gov. Noem has been quietly campaigning for the VP slot on The Former Guy’s 2024 ticket, and she was one of the favorites. Now, though, one would have to rethink the odds of her making the shortlist.
Kristi Noem’s wholesome family values image took a body blow this past week, and the question will be whether she can recover from it.
Glamorous Noem – who served four terms as her state's only member of the US House of Representatives – won the governorship in 2018 promising to uphold the wholesome family values that she said South Dakotans have 'long embraced'.
Defending 'traditional marriage', which she defined as 'a special, God-given union between one man and one woman', was particularly important to her.
It was the foundation for her beliefs, policy priorities and the ideals she lives by, said Noem, who has a son and two daughters with her husband Bryon who she married in 1992.
She has long been linked with Lewandowski, 49, who has been pushing hard for Trump to add her to his ticket.
‘He may not be very smart, but it takes big balls to lobby to have your mistress named one of the most powerful people in the country,' one GOP operative told DailyMail.com.
As for Lewandowski, he isn’t terribly bright, but he is a thug who’s loyal to The Former Guy. And yes, it does take audacity to lobby for your mistress to be named as The Former Guy’s #2. Lewandowski may not be the sharpest pencil in the box, but he does have some brass balls.
I’m sure Gov. Noem can attest to that.
It turns out that the Noem-Lewandowski affair has been something of an open secret in certain Republican circles for quite some time. But Republicans look out for their own. No one felt it appropriate to make an issue of the relationship, though it was widely known that Noem and Lewandowski were married to other people.
Not that anyone’s objections would’ve mattered. Noem, a politician, and Lewandowski, a political operative, could’ve and did run in the same circles. It was easy for them to show up at the same functions frequently. Plus, Noem often used Lewandowski’s services as a political adviser, providing cover for spending an excessive amount of time together.
The far-right website American Greatness claimed in 2021 the two had been romantically involved, although it gave no details.
At the time she scornfully dismissed the story as 'total garbage and a disgusting lie', and said she loved her husband and was 'proud of the God-fearing family' they had raised, and the story quickly died.
But a DailyMail.com investigation has uncovered extensive evidence of the couple's romantic relationship: Dozens of trips that mixed business with pleasure, flights on donors' private planes, and stays at luxury resorts where their intimacy was observed and noted.
Former Trump operative Charles Johnson wrote in a Substack post that he had seen them acting 'in a very flirtatious manner' at the August 2020 meeting of the Republican Attorneys General Association (RAGA) at The Cloister resort on Sea Island, Georgia.
Johnson told DailyMail.com he had seen Noem discreetly take Lewandowski's hand and put it in her lap. Lewandowski put his arm on her back at the same time.
The pair 'seemed to be dating despite being married to other people', Johnson wrote on Substack.
Two other sources who were at the RAGA event were surprised by the obvious affection between Noem and Lewandowski.
Of course, as rumors inevitably got out in 2021, Gov. Noem quickly quashed them before things got out of hand. She at least managed to buy herself a couple of years before the dam burst.
In South Dakota, at least at the moment, the initial reaction seems to be less about who Gov. Noem is sleeping with than her political bedfellows. While she may claim to be a God-fearing woman and to have raised a God-fearing family with her husband, Bryon, she’s as hypocritical as most men in the GOP.
And the outcry on the Far-Right has been…well, crickets. Just imagine, if you will, that Kristi Noem was a Democrat. Don’t think Republicans wouldn’t have their torches and pitchforks brigade out for Gov. Noem. They’d be looking to burn her at the stake.
But she’s a Republican, so she gets a free pass.
What hypocrisy, eh?
Yeah, it turns out that having an extramarital affair is only a problem for Republicans if a Democrat is schtupping someone who’s not their spouse. If it’s one of their own, it’s just, “Oh, they’re working out some problems in their marriage.”
And that’s fine, as long as that tolerance goes both ways, which for Republicans, it doesn’t and never has. They’ve long been willing to give fellow Republicans a free pass even as they roast Democrats for the same behavior. It’s sickening and hypocritical, but that’s politics, Republican-style.
Sadly, Lauren Boebert and Kristi Noem aren’t exceptions. They’re the rule for the GOP- liars, cheaters, hypocrites, and holier-than-thou public Christians who can’t be bothered to live Christ-like lives.
Same as it ever was.

New verb: "to bobo":
Behaving like an absolutely classless, self-absorbed, uneducated twunt, up to and including groping your date's junk in a crowded theater.
