For reasons I can’t begin to understand, CBS’ Lesley Stahl is doing a feature story on Rep. Marjorie Trailer Greene (R-GA) on 60 Minutes tonight. I’d always thought that shows like 60 Minutes were meant to feature those who’d accomplished something noteworthy.

In the case of MTG, she’s done nothing close to remarkable- unless being a fascist and a White Nationalist asshole is to be considered the new notable. So how did we get to the place where the mainstream media gives a platform to idiots who add nothing to the public discourse and spread only hatred, ignorance, and bigotry? Are those qualities the press is now validating in politicians?
