Recently, the Republican Clown Show legislature in Kentucky passed a particularly cruel anti-transgender bill (Because when you’re a Republican, the cruelty IS the point).

Andy Beshear, the Democratic Governor, decided he wasn’t about to play a role in the GOP’s gratuitous cruelty, so he vetoed the bill. When you consider what the bill would do and what the likely results of it would be, Beshear felt he had no other option. No kind and compassionate person would even think about signing such a draconian piece of legislation.
