Congratulations…you found me. Welcome to my latest project and my newest dark, dank corner of da Interwebz. To those of you who remember me from What Would Jack Do?…and to those new to my work…welcome. I’m glad you’re here. No artist exists in a vacuum.
After almost 20 years at WWJD and it’s predecessor, The People’s Republic of Seabrook, it was time for a change.
I’m still working out exactly what that “change” will be, so stay tuned for the inevitable growing pains and ongoing evolution. The plan, such as it is, is that starting tomorrow, May 6th, all of my content will be free. After two weeks, I’ll be taking the bulk of my writing behind a paywall…’cuz everything I know about marketing I learned from drug dealers, don’tchaknow??
There will be one or two free posts each week as a way for people to get to know me and what I’m about. Ultimately, though, this is about keeping a promise I made to myself a long time ago. My hope is that at the end of those two weeks you’ll have seen enough to be convinced that my writing is worth something. This is a grand experiment, and my pricing is largely arbitrary, which means that I have NO idea what the market will bear. I do believe that art, of whatever flavor or derivation, has value, and deserves to be supported.
We’ll see if my theory holds up or not.
After almost 20 years of wandering in the technological wilderness on my own, I want to see what I can do with some support behind me. I’m excited…because I literally have NO idea what to expect going forward. Stay tuned….
