Republicans Don't Know How To Solve Problems
They do, however, excel at making serious problems significantly worse
Nothing offended me except for cauliflower and stupidity.
Abby Jimenez, The Friend Zone
The sad thing is that so many people, in the belief that the universe is organized to suit and influence them, are willing to sacrifice even the slight cranial capacity with which evolution has equipped us.
Christopher Hitchens
To say that Republicans don’t govern to solve problems or make things better for America or Americans isn’t exactly breaking news. It’s been the GOP’s modus operandi for as long as I can remember. Sure, there’s been the occasional exception- Richard Nixon did create the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), but the EPA stands out as the exception that proves the rules, especially today.
If you look at today’s Republican Party, the nonentities filling it out and (especially) leading it doesn’t inspire confidence in the GOP’s commitment to doing right by America. Four years of symbolically fellating The Former Guy should be enough to disabuse any informed observer of that notion.
