The spirit that drives the American Taliban is the conviction that, out of the thousands of other faith traditions, they know they’ve found the One, True, and ONLY Real faith. Everyone else is an idolator, following a false religion and in the express lane on the freeway to Hell.

How do they know this? Damned if I know, but they’re absolutely, positively, 110% convinced that their God can kick any other god’s ass…and they’re not afraid to rub your nose in it if you’re not one of them. Because the American Taliban is determined to take over America and remake it in their image, with a God and theology that conveniently happens to share and confirm their hatreds and prejudices.
