Ted Cruz- Boldly, Ignorantly Going Where No Conservative Has Gone Before
He's WAY too smart to be so @#$%&?" stupid
"Ted Cruz's statements were boldly ignorant and dismissive of the clear obvious danger that is faced by so many people in society because of the prevalence of violence and gun violence in particular," he replied. "It really shows just how so many political electeds lack the fortitude to move forward and do the right thing: save lives."
It should come as a shock to no one that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Mordor) cares about one thing and one thing only: Ted Cruz and his political career. Period. He’d throw his wife and children under a bus if he thought it showed promise of improving his political prospects. After all, Sen. Cruz frequently took it up the backside (metaphorically) from Donald Trump despite being demeaned, degraded, and repeatedly insulted by Mango Mussolini.
Oh, and let’s not forget the numerous times Trump insulted the Senator’s wife without Sen. McSmarmy so much as voicing an objection. Is that love or what??
If someone called my wife ugly, not only would I question his taste in women, I’d be asking him when he last had his eyes checked, at the very least.
So depending on Ted Cruz to do the right thing, or even hoping that he might, is guaran-damn-teed to be an exercise in frustration.
"Instead of sloganeering, Mr.Cruz and his other elected colleagues really should be working on legislation that provides, or minimizes the risk of damage, and could quite possibly and probably save lives," he continued. "That is some additional gun restrictions, some background checks, there are other things that are out there that will undoubtedly be effective and save lives, and prevent these gun violence deaths."
Saving lives? Where are the votes in that? Besides, the NRA isn’t paying untold thousands of dollars to save lives. No, they’re paying him to ensure that gun laws DON’T change, lives be damned.
In that sense, Sen. McSmarmy is no different from any other Republican on Capitol Hill. Virtually all of them are owned lock, stock, and hindquarters by Wayne LaPierre’s rapaciously corrupt NRA. It would be an understatement to say that LaPierre, his organization, and Congressional Republicans have blood on their hands. Then again, so would assuming that they don’t care.
They most certainly don’t.
What amazes me about Sen. McSmarmy is that he’s an abjectly lousy liar. As bright as he is, and the guy is ridiculously intelligent, he can’t lie without giving himself away to save his life. It’s easy to tell when he’s lying- because he’s ALWAYS lying. I’m always more shocked when he’s being honest because it’s such a rare occurrence that I rarely recognize it when it happens.
Too many school doors are the problem? Really? Does the junior Senator from Texas lack the self-awareness to know how ridiculous that sounds?
Or is he just a living, breathing proof of the Dunning-Kruger Effect? As if that even requires a response.
It would be one thing if Cruz doesn’t fully understand what he’s talking about- not that he’s ever allowed a lack of knowledge to prevent him from extemporizing. But, of course, he’s seldom aware that anything he says can be easily and quickly fact-checked. And Sen. McSmarmy, besides invariably being wrong and dishonest, is in no way a tactical or a security expert.
But he does possess an impressive ability to bloviate, doesn’t he?
