Thank You For Fighting For Us, Sen. Cruz
Said no lucid humanoid ever
I may not know much, but I do know there are a few certainties in life- death, taxes, Aaron Rodgers whining, and NO ONE hugs Sen. Cruz (R-TX). I can think of few things less pleasant than putting my arms around the smarmy, oleaginous Republican who’s roundly despised, even by most of his Republican colleagues.
The question, of course, is what would possess Sen. Cruz to concoct such a transparently false narrative. After all, no one, with the possible exception of his wife and children- and I can’t imagine them doing it- would willingly hug Sen. Cruz, much less say, “Thank you for fighting for us.”

Sen. Cruz’s duplicitous, self-serving tactics are legendary, and it’s widely known that he was hated even by his fellow Republicans almost immediately upon his arrival on Capitol Hill. Arrogant, self-righteous, and as slimy as they come, the junior Senator from Texas would throw his mother under a road grader if it would advance his political ambitions. That’s what he did to his wife when Donald Trump insulted her. Instead of standing up for his life partner, he firmly affixed his lips to Trump’s ample backside, where they remain to this day.
To believe that he would make up a story about being adored by flight crews doesn’t take much imagination. Sen. Cruz excels at finding ways to make himself look good, even if his efforts are sometimes blindingly transparent. He either lacks a very basic degree of self-awareness or doesn’t care about how others perceive him. Since relationships are transactional, what people think of him doesn’t matter. It’s what someone can DO for him.

Anyone who would ever entertain the thought of hugging Sen. Cruz should seriously re-think their plan. I can only speak for myself, of course. Still, I’d have an overwhelming desire to shower repeatedly- probably after I’d vomited several times and burned the clothes I’d been wearing.
Yes, the man is just that toxic. Physical contact of any sort should be avoided at all costs. Consider yourself warned.
I’d be interested to find out if any member(s) of any flight crew anywhere has ever done what Sen. Cruz claims. ‘Course, I don’t care enough to investigate because I already have a pretty solid idea of the answer. No reasonable, rational person would hug Sen. Cruz for any reason; that much I already know. The man is as revolting, smug, and insincere as they come.
Why would the junior Senator from the Lone Star State lie about such an innocuous and easily verifiable thing? Because he’s just that arrogant and cavalier. Perhaps he’s even convinced himself that it’s true. If so, he’s almost certainly the only one who believes it.
Honesty and integrity are two qualities never associated with Ted Cruz. So I assume that if his lips are moving, he’s lying- because far more often than not, he is.
What an utter waste of humanity. And to think he’s raising children. Good Lord, they probably have years of intensive therapy in their future.
His own kid can't stand him.
