"Thoughts And Prayers Would Be Appropriate If They All Were Running Hallmark Stores"

Take your thoughts and prayers and go fuck yourself

May God’s peace be with you.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Mordor)
As the investigation into Monday’s mass shooting in Nashville continues, I’m becoming more confident/saddened that this tragedy will lead to precisely NO action in Congress.
Why? Because that’s what happens after every mass shooting. Anger mounts. Rational people demand change. And Republicans in Congress piss on their anguish because that’s what happens when you’re a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Rifle Association (NRA). So you do nothing except offer impotent “thoughts and prayers” because that’s what your owners demand of you.
Also, as I mentioned yesterday, America now runs on the three principles of the Right-wing Prime directive: Greed, Selfishness, and Indifference. Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) clearly articulated all three, saying, “we’re not going to fix it.”
Well, thank you, Congressman, for at least admitting to the truth that you’re a f*****g monster.
At least now, Right-wing sickos like Tucker Carlson and Rep. Marjorie Trailer Greene (R-GA) can deflect their viewers to side issues like THE SHOOTER WAS TRANS GENDER!!
What does the gender identity of the shooter matter? It doesn’t, of course, but it allows the Rabid Right to insist that IT’S NOT THE GUNS!!!
It’s the guns! It’s not the Drag Queens. It’s not the transgender people. It’s the f*****g guns. No one pulls off a mass murder in a school with a plastic fork, knowhutimean.
It’s always the guns.
Also, for a group prone to criticizing “the Liberal Left” for “politicizing” tragedies such as the Nashville school shooting by calling for common-sense gun control, the Rabid Right is doing a fair amount of politicizing this massacre.
Hypocrisy much?
Carlson argues that “trans ideology” is the mirror image of Christianity. Therefore, the trans community must destroy Christianity, except that if you look at the truth of what happens, it’s Christians who are the bigger problem:
Former Wausau Priest Sentenced for Child Porn Charges
Man arrested in Athens on child pornography charges (It was a former Catholic school teacher.)
Retired Orange County Pastor Convicted of Sex Assaults on 2 Girls
Abilene Christian University professor arrested, accused of sexually abusing adopted children
Youth coordinator at San Angelo church arrested for possession of child pornography
Christian Filmmaker Steve Greisen Pleads Guilty to Felony Sex Charges
Former DeWitt teacher charged with sexual exploitation of student(Now employed by a Catholic school.)
Church leader charged in 2019 sex crime
Carlson is heavily invested in convincing his audience that the trans community hates Christians: “They can never be reconciled. They are on a collision course with each other. One side is likely to draw blood before the other side.”
He’ll deny inciting violence, of course, but his language tells an altogether different story:
Tell us where the bad transgender person touched you, Tucker….
Because, yes, “the transgender movement is getting dangerous.”
All right, y’all- let’s get one thing straight:
One person identifying as transgender and committing a mass shooting doesn’t mean the entire “trans movement”- whatever that might mean- will be running around our schools armed with AR-15s and murderous intent.
Tucker Carlson (and Marjorie Trailer Greene, among many others on the Rabid Right) HATES that transgender people walk among us. And that makes me wonder what he’s so afraid of. How do transgender people materially impact his life and/or well-being? Do they knock on his door at all hours of the day and night, pushing puberty blockers on him? Do they call him endlessly to tell him they know what they did last summer with a transgender woman in a Fox News restroom?
So Carlson remains terrified of transgender individuals for reasons he can’t elucidate. He’s reduced to using his “Christianity” to prop up his weak, laughable, fear-based argument: “Christianity and transgender orthodoxy are wholly incompatible theologies.”
Trans people think they're God and they're coming to "draw blood" because they hate Christians. That's Tucker's very 1930s Germany message about transgender people.
Again, these kinds of sweeping generalizations are only operable for this particular mass shooting.
When the next white supremacist mass shooting happens -- at current rates it'll probably be next Tuesday or so -- it'll just be yet another anomaly, just white boys bein' boys, just a terrible mental health situation nobody could have seen coming. The right-wing internet will probably falsely identify that shooter as a trans person too, for as long as they can get away with it.
Those demanding common-sense gun control struggle to be heard over the whiny voice of Tucker Carlson and others trying to take over the conversation and send it off into pointless and ridiculousness.
The best friend of the wife of Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee’s wife was one of the victims of the Nashville shooting. This might be the first time a shooting has had a direct connection to someone in power. Still, listening to Gov. Lee, I didn’t hear someone determined to take decisive action. Instead, I heard someone disgorging a word salad intended to placate, delay, and ultimately do nothing.
Between Gov. Lee and Rep. Tim Burchett, it’s easy to see that Tennessee Republicans aren’t renowned for political courage or bold ideas. Lee’s wife may have lost her best friend, but it still seems like his giveafuck is broken and likely to remain that way.
While the vast majority of Americans- Republicans AND Democrats- favor common-sense gun control, their elected representatives are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the NRA. As such, they refuse to do anything that would anger their master.
Why would they when they can weaponize their war against the transgender community?
Because “the extremist trans fringe” is more dangerous than people know:
OK, while Carlson and Ngo are busily dialing up the rhetoric and hatred against the trans community, there’s one reality we should keep in mind- what they’re selling is bullshit. There IS no “extremist trans fringe,” only a small group of people who want to live their lives as the person they genuinely identify as. That Carlson and Ngo are repulsed by that is their problem…and none of their damned business.
That the Nashville shooter was a woman, man, or transgender woman is of no consequence except for those on the Rabid Right who seek to politicize it to advance their agenda. They don’t care that six innocent people died, only that they’ve been presented with a golden opportunity to heap hatred onto the transgender community, who barely pose a threat to themselves.
The Rabid Right has no interest in solving the problem of mass shootings. Instead, they care about exploiting them to advance their interests and support their agenda. It brings in viewers and gets better ad rates.
We already know that Tucker Carlson is a s****y excuse for a human being, and he’s hardly the only one on the Rabid Right. But, sadly, being a s****y human can also be very financially rewarding- if you’re willing to sacrifice your humanity, morality, decency, and compassion.
Tucker Carlson is utterly devoid of all those qualities, which explains his success. I sincerely hope he never has to bury a loved one who was torn apart by AR-15 rounds.
And may he choke on his “thoughts and prayers.”
As for Marjorie Trailer Greene, the bodies in Nashville weren’t even cold before she was using them to build her brand, which, as near as anyone can tell, is White, hate-fueled, trailer trash, human s**t.
It goes without saying that in the days and hours since the devastating mass shooting in Nashville, Republican hate muppet Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has been acting like vile fucking trash. Greene and Tucker Carlson and so many other conservatives are walking over children's dead bodies right now to seize the opportunity to inject vicious anti-LGBTQ+ hatred into the discourse, specifically hatred against trans people.
Because as we all know, the 98 percent of mass shooters who are cisgender dudes -- a large percentage of them specifically white supremacist cisgender dudes -- are just lone wolves, whereas one transgender shooter is indicative of an entire movement trying to take down all Christians and probably the baby Jesus himself.
It is just logical.
Before we knew hardly any details about what really happened in Nashville, Greene was on Twitter blaming the murders on gender-affirming medical treatments and mental health drugs. In the time since, she's been sitting in Congress blaming school closures for more kids identifying as transgender, calling that "devastating." But Greene fucked around and found out and managed to get her official government Twitter account temporarily suspended yesterday.
Yes, even on Elon Musk's shittyass Twitter, it turns out there are still occasionally consequences.
Greene tweeted a graphic about an alleged "Trans Day of Vengeance" allegedly scheduled for this weekend in DC. Greene, a verifiable fucking idiot, tweeted that it was "organized by Antifa." As all non-stupid Americans know, "Antifa" is not an "organization" that "organizes" things. It is mostly a scary boogie word stupid right-wing white people say to make each other shit their pants and cry a lot. We guess it is their fetish.
And, of course, for Greene, “Antifa” is a magic word that absolves her of all responsibility for her thuggishness and her willingness to s**t in the open wounds of those who’ve suffered horrible losses.
Because, for her, EVERYTHING can be politicized.
"My Congressional account was suspended for 7 days for exposing Antifa, who are organizing a call for violence called 'Trans Day of Vengeance.' The day after the mass murder of children by a trans shooter," she tweeted.
The fact that the Nashville shooter was or may have been transgender has nothing to do with anything. When it’s been pointed out that most White male shooters are White supremacists, Greene has been quick to deny the connection. Oh, but ONE shooter is transgender, and suddenly THERE IT IS- ALL transgender people bend toward violence?
WTF?
It's not entirely clear what this alleged "Trans Day of Vengeance" even is. It's certainly not a widespread thing being pushed by mainstream orgs. CBS News published parts of statements from the groups putting it together, which disavow violence, clarify what they mean by "vengeance," and say they are "horrified" and "outraged" by the Nashville shooting. Meanwhile, Newsweek notes that the main group that's been pushing it has 404 entire Twitter followers and a currently locked account.
Our own googling of it has turned up results from right-wing idiots and obscure possibly entirely fake foreign news sources. (In other words, the things we imagine MTG probably reads when she is "doing her own research.")
Regardless, this is definitely an event that's sweeping the nation's capital.
Because, as any REAL, God-fearing, White Conservative Christian heterosexual knows, any organized expression of transgender voices threatens national security and MUST BE CRUSHED FORTHWITH.
Or perhaps they’re sick to death of politicians and pundits so poisoned by hatred, bigotry, and transphobia that they’d blame the trans community for everything and anything before trying to solve real problems.
The fact that the Nashville shooter was transgender is apropos of nothing. That someone demonstrably mentally ill could legally purchase multiple AR-style weapons in Tennessee is a problem. That there are no red flag laws in Tennessee is also a significant problem. Republicans could do something to lessen the risks to their constituents, but they refuse to.
And, yes, that’s the biggest problem of all.
“Antifa” and “trans-terrorism?” How stupid can one human being be?
I don’t think I need to answer that. She’s departed Fuckaroundville for Find Out City…hopefully on a one-way ticket.
