You took, all, the words right out of my mouth. I could not agree more.

For myself, America has been a disappointing embarrassment since Obama left office. I thought with Obama having been President that bigotry would not be an issue but the opposite has become evident. Everyone hate everyone else. The whole LGBTQ being pushed back to say nothing of how black and brown skin people are treated. America is sick. We need to get our national shit together. We need to start educating again. All the subjects, history, simple physics, math(maybe we can teach them how to count back change). It is said that we are a competiting globally yet our kids don't know things like American history and science. I am sure that outside the United States the education being offered is mind numming. All our kids seem to say what do I need to learn that for, "I will never use that." Anyway that's my two cents worth.

Tell the nice man what he's won, Don Pardo....

We Americans love to tell ourselves that we're #1...in everything...all the time...no matter what. Well, guess what, y'all? That's nowhere being true. Don't get me wrong, America is still great and has never stopped being great. But the world has caught up and surpassed us in so many ways, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It just means there are different ways to do things...and yes, some are better than ours.

As for edumication, I couldn't agree more, but I keep defaulting to an old Isaac Asimov quote about anti-intellectualism. Some Americans honestly believe that ignorance represents a triumph over the life of the mind.

Of course, I talk about moving overseas again, but everywhere you go, there's a different set of problems. It comes down to the problems you can live with.

Alito is, of course, the same grease-stain hypocrite who drew upon a 17th C. British Judge who literally believed in witches flying on broomsticks, with no possible relevance to American jurisprudence, to fabricate is twaddle striking down Roe.

Yeah, Alito himself was two steps short of witchcraft...but whatever it takes to achieve the desired result, eh? So much for stare decisis.
