Oh, yes - when an individual or a group becomes a clear and present danger to the security, economy and prosperity of this country, when said individuals cause the deaths of innocents, and, perhaps most importantly in this case, said individuals WILL eventually breed Corona variants that the vaccines will not be effective on, those people MUST somehow be removed from society. Those who, by their ignorance, selfishness, or indifference would take any ALL Americans' rights to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" MUST be dealt with.

Since we can't send them to the gulag (or even to jail) for their willful endangering of their fellow citizens, I think it only proper to at LEAST relegate them to the sidelines. They can sit there and watch the world go by without them, or they can choose to join it.

Considering how many of the anti-vax crowd are from states with a history of racial prejudice, wouldn't it be funny if suddenly water fountains were marked "Vaxxed only," or signs went up on the fronts of restaurants, saying "Non-vaxxed enter by back door," where only takeout food would be available? Better still (yes, I can dream), imagine gun and ammo sellers not providing their wares to anyone without proof of vaccination?

I dream of a world wherein grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores, transit companies, airlines, and even cell phone sellers say, "Unvaxxed not allowed." Store owners (and major companies) could say, "Sorry, we don't hire unvaxxed." Maybe then the assholes could learn two lessons at once - one about prejudice and separation, and one about social responsibility. (Like I said, I can dream.)

Hmm... while I dreaming, how about a new FEDERAL law that says something to the effect of," If two people (or more) are arguing about Covid-19 and/or the vaccines, and anyone in that argument gets assaulted or killed, the vaccinated shall be held blameless, barring certain exigent circumstances. (Which would then be enumerated.)"

When the vaccines are FULLY approved by the FDA (any minute now), there will be NO logical or reasonable argument for the average person to not get the shot. There are VERY few religious arguments, and really (statistically) only a handful of MEDICAL reasons not to get vaccinated.

EVENTUALLY, when all this sturm und drang is over, the Covid vax will become just one (of the eight or nine) kids HAVE to have to go to school. There will be boosters (just like with tetanus.) No right-thinking person will object when that day comes, just as normal folks don't argue that "seat belts don't save lives."

To get to that day, we have to call out the lunatic fringe, shame them, and sideline them 'til they get with the program.

If all of that doesn't work, I (sarcastically) propose that we remove all 169,000 people living in Guam to their choice of city in the 50 states, then make Guam a "black site" like Guantanamo, and start arresting/ extracting the "terrorist" threats to our society (all 120 MILLION of them) to Guam. (It'll get crowded, at about 571,000 people per square mile... but they won't have to suffer that hardship long... the next step would be to test our hypersonic missile systems on Guam.) (Hey, the Brits did it in Australia 60 years ago, with NUCLEAR testing, so don't say it couldn't be done.) :)

I jest, but I don't.

I truly wish the anti-vaxxers would all start falling dead in the street over the next, say, 4 months, on a "most-vehement-to-just-not-sure" basis. After 50 million idiots simply died while driving, or golfing, or working, or watching TV, the "not-sure" crowd (which, unfortunately, includes my full-grown sons), would suddenly wake the fuck up.

Go ahead - call me a Lib. Call me an elitist. Call me a Socialist. I'll laugh as you die.

An elitist-Democratic-Socialist-Liberal is WAY better than an inbred-racist-propagandized-Trumpian-Fascist-drone every day of the week.

As I've heard so often, "Ignorance of the law is no excuse." We could easily amend it to "Ignorance of science is no excuse." It's equally valid. You can play by the rules and be a contributing, compassionate member of society...or you can stay on the sidelines. Your choice.
